Galanthus 'Hippolyta'
Snowdrop 'Hippolyta' is a charming double snowdrop that flowers slightly later and grows shorter than the classic single snowdrop, Galanthus nivalis. It belongs to the group known as the Greatorex hybrids. The flowers are rounded with broad outer petals, sometimes delicately marked with green at the tips.
Height: 10 cm
Planting depth: 10 cm
Flowering time: February–March
Bulb size: 6/7
Contains 7 bulbs.
Snowdrops should be planted early in autumn in a partially shaded position with well-drained, slightly moist soil, approximately 10 cm deep. Improve the soil by adding compost or fertiliser. Place the bulb in the planting hole with the pointed end facing upwards. When the foliage emerges in spring, apply a little Zetas bulb fertiliser to provide extra nutrients.
