Harvest: It Begins in the Ground

Everything begins in the soil. Seeds germinate, roots reach deeper, and the soil becomes a living world. This is where the year’s harvest begins. Not at the kitchen table or in the pantry, but long before. With a seed, a little patience and, hopefully, just the right amount of rain.

This year’s Advent Calendar is a celebration of everything that happens in between. The growing, the waiting, the failures, the unexpected triumphs, and the joy of picking something you have grown yourself. From soil to table, from seed to bouquet, from dream to harvest.

Behind the 24 boxes are products that make life in the kitchen garden, greenhouse and flower beds a little more enjoyable, a little easier and considerably more delightful. Things we love to use, keep and return to, year after year. Because we believe that soil under your fingernails is rarely a problem, and that few things can beat the taste of something you have grown yourself.

The calendar is also far too beautiful to put away once December is over. Fill it with seed packets, plant labels, string or all those other little things that always seem to disappear just when you need them.

Then all that’s left is to put your spade in the ground.
