Turkish Snowdrop – Galanthus elwesii
White, droplet-shaped flowers. The inner petals feature two green markings—one at the base and one near the tip. Has a honey-like fragrance. Plant shallowly in well-drained soil. Snowdrops must be planted immediately in autumn, as they are sensitive to drying out. Soak the bulbs briefly before planting.
Prefers a sunny location. Grows to 15–25 cm in height. Blooms from February to April. Planting depth: 10 cm. Hardy in most parts of the country.
Bulb size: 5/6
Contents: 10 bulbs
Plant in odd numbers, in groups of at least five to ten. The distance between the bulbs should be around 12 cm. Planting depth should be three times the height of the bulb. Dig a planting hole and loosen the soil with a spade. Then mix in some Zetas bulb fertilizer into the soil and cover the bulbs. Spray tulips, snowdrops, and crocuses with TRICO Garden to keep them safe from hungry deer. Pinch off the flower when it has finished blooming, let the foliage wither. Longevity depends on weather.
